Microsoft Word Styles

A very cool feature that is offered in the newer versions of Microsoft Word (as of this writing 2007 and the upcoming 2010) is one called Styles. It allows you to create a custom format for your document that changes things such as titles, text body, and even the color of the titles and text body. You can create your own styles or use the default ones that Microsoft has provided for you. Go ahead and check out the article about how you can use Styles in Microsoft Word 2007.

Windows 7 Probably one of the top five improvements with Windows 7 is the advancement in search features. Microsoft has realized starting with Windows Vista that search is a very important part in the everyday lives of people using computers. Glary Utilities

Another nice utility application that you can use if you do not prefer using a paid program is one called Glary Utilities. I currently use the program and is divided up into many different parts for computer maintenance.

avast! Antivirus 5.0

imageA very good antivirus tool that I used to use about a few years ago was one called avast! Antivirus. The interface in version 4 looked something like you would see in a multimedia program. Kind of like a skinned music player from Windows Media Player. The program did good but it just felt somewhat awkward to operate in my opinion.
